    DIG:2003 #128
A skeleton in the bowl hole graveyard

What this skeleton told us: Evidence

An adult man. A poorly preserved skeleton with osteoarthritis in his right hand. Traces of what was likely a cyst (a fluid filled lump) are present in the left wrist.

    Interpretation of the evidence

Bone cysts can form in bone and may eventually heal over and disappear. There are often no symptoms. However, his osteoarthritis may have caused him pain and stiffness, and limited mobility of in the hand joints.
